Calling All Treasure Hunters. We're Takin Over This Beach!

Summer's coming soon and that means beach parties, building sand sculptures, getting a nice leathery tan, and checking out all the beautiful people. But what’s the coolest beach activity? Playing with balls or Frisbees? Nope! Swimming, surfing, or beating off sharks? Nope! Nope! Nope! Since you're having a hard time guessing I'll give you the obvious answer…

Searching for buried treasure!

You can do just that with the BeachHunter ID 300 metal detector, by Whites. It’s made specifically for beach treasure hunting and is fully submersible. This beach specific detector is water proof up to 25 ft(7.6m)! That means you can search for treasure in and out of the water.

It's easy to use, reliable, and rugged. Some of the Beach Hunter ID 300's many features include two search modes, a detachable control box that can be mounted on your hip or chest for convenience of carry. Its three control system threshold, sensitivity, and ground makes it as versatile as it is user friendly.

The BeachHunter ID 300 does carry a hefty price tag at $999.95 but you will have the last laugh while you count all the gold pirate Doubloons you found while people, under the influence of many alcoholic beverages watch with a jealous gaze. Besides what else would you do make sand sculptures? Who do you think you are Andres Amador?

Want a more affordable alternative to the Whites' BeachHunter? Try the Garrett Ace 250 Metal Detector at around $225 or the Bounty Hunter TK4 Tracker IV Metal Detector for $99.99

The opinions expressed in this post do not apply if you are a cat lady. In that case the coolest beach activity requires an umbrella, a blanket, romance novel and something to feed the seagulls.

  1. Thank you for sharing. A funny photo. I recently found an interesting article on children's metal detector http://collectinviolity.com/. They are cheaper and suitable not only for children. This is advice for beginners.
