Boulder Outdoor Survival School
Have you ever been lured to a remote cabin in the wilderness under false pretenses, only to be hunted the next day, by a group of armed men, and all you had to survive was your wits and the clothes on your back? This Surviving the game scenario is highly unlikely, highly illegal, and highly immoral. Just in case, the Boulder Outdoor Survival School or B.O.S.S. may be able to help prepare you for such an occasion.
B.O.S.S. as it's called, a most fitting acronym, because if you survive one of their courses you most definitely are a boss. Located in Boulder, Utah, the school was founded in 1968. It's the largest traditional survival skills school in the world. B.O.S.S offers field courses, training courses, explorer courses, and skills courses. Course lengths vary from 3 to 28 days. B.O.S.S puts strong emphasis on aboriginal living skills. These are skills that every human once possessed, but have nearly disappeared due to technical advances in society. Interestingly, when one learns these primitive skills they often end up questioning if the way we live today is natural, healthy, or suitable for human beings.
