A Glimpse Over the Shoulder of Field Scientists

Have you ever asked yourself who is in the field finding and recording what you read on Wikipedia or in your science text books? The 12 essays in Field Notes on Science & Nature  will certainly answer that question. It was compiled by Michael R. Canfield, a Harvard biologist. It contains perfectly reproduced excerpts from the notes of some amazing field scientists and naturalists on their quest for discovery and knowledge. The scientists featured are from various disciplines like ecology, paleontology, anthropology, botany, and animal behavior.

The book is an amazing resource for amateur naturalists that are trying to fine tune their skills of recording field notes using pencil and paper which Mr.Canfield calls a "genre of record keeping".

We found this really cool Leather Traveler's notebook by Midori so you can get out there and start winning like the guys featured in Field Notes.
